The Fly Iowa Challenge is a challenge that is run by the Iowa Aviation Promotion Group (IAPG). The IAPG is a non-profit group here in Iowa that promotes aviation and aviation activities like the Fly Iowa air show and of course this challenge.

The challenge is to visit all of the airports in Iowa. There are currently 109 airports as well as a number of museums in Iowa. Many of these airports are in small communities where having an airport brings needed jobs and resources to these communities.

This page is meant to be a journal of the various airports I have visited. I have actually visited a lot of the airports already, but not always with a camera. So, I will be going back and revisiting those airports. I’m not sure if I will post all 109 airports here, but I certainly want to highlight as many as I can.
